Fun Day!

Yesterday we went to Lagoon. Jer was not excited to go with me, but he went. WE hung out with Savannah and Nathan and two of their friends. We went on a bunch of rides (Can I say Wicked scared the SHIT out of me??) I felt like such a baby and screamed so much in the first few hours that my throat hurt the rest of the day. We don't go there very often but I had sooo much fun! Thanks John for the tickets!!

Then we went to Megan's birthday party. We hung out for a little while then went home when they went to the bar. I wanted to go earlier that day, but after Lagoon I just was too tired. So we came home and went to bed. What a fun day!! Happy Birthday Megan!

Girls' Night In!

So it seems there are never enough girls nights. Although it is so hard to arrange a time to meet up to fit everyone's schedules they are always so much fun and it would be fun to get together a LOT more often!! Snort, Becky and I have decided to start a new tradition. We will take turns meeting at each other's houses and whose house we meet at is in charge of cooking dinner for us. Then we will hang out for a while. Friday was our first time doing this. We met at Snort's apartment and she made the BEST food. She made homemade Manacotti with a salad and some garlic bread. It was AWESOME!! She is such a great chef. Then we hung out and watched The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants - haha. We talked a lot and decided to take a "few" pictures to put on our blogs. We took pictures on two cameras, but took 41 pictures on just my camera - I think we get a little picture happy everytime we are together but we laughed for an hour straight taking these pictures. It is like a natural high getting into that mood and having fun and laughing together.

I am only posting a few of the best pictures even though there are a ton of them. Fortunately for all of you who view my blog, my camera battery finally died after the 41 pictures so we were forced to stop taking them. hahaha.

Our "Silly" Faces

Our "High" faces - I know we are weird.

Our "animalistic" faces - Bec cracks me up on this one!!

Um - are you ok? haha

Bec and Snort eating the delicious food. Doesn't it look so yummy?

Our Cute selfs

Our "Weird" Faces

K we obviously weren't ready for this pic. We were posing forever and the camera wouldn't take but it finally did when we weren't ready, but I had to post it because I love Snort's face. She looks so relieved. haha

Yeah...I don't really know what to call these faces.

Our night was really fun! I love you girls and love hanging out with you! It's funny how our lives have changed over the last 5 years. We went from going out dancing five nights a week and getting drunk everytime we were together to meeting at each other's houses and watching movies. Although it is a complete live style change we still have a lot of fun and it is fun to look back and see how much our lives have changed in that short period of time. We all have our own places, all have significant others and are all ready to start families. Wow what a difference five years makes. Wonder where we will be in another five years....

So LAZY!!

So I don't know what my problem is...I'm really not a lazy person, but the last week I have been SOOOO lazy. I am currently still not showered or dressed today and it is almost 1:30. Jer text me at 12:30 and asked if I wanted to go to lunch, to which my reply was, " I would love to, but I'm not ready." So sad. I am so lame.

I think I have two things to blame for my laziness. One, I have started running and working out again. I am so out of shape and although I'm not "fat" I am not feeling good about the state I have let my body fall into. I wore a bikini the other day and for the first time in a long time actually felt ashamed of myself. So I committed to working out 5 times a week. I am really proud of myself since it has been almost a year but at the same time I am so not motivated to do it. So, I don't shower or get ready until after I have worked out. Since I have no motivation to work out...here I sit.

Two, I have NOTHING to do! Although it is very nice not having to work and have so much free time, there are only so many things for me to do by myself. Since the rest of the world insists on working during my summer break I am very bored. Oh yes, I have plenty of things I can do to get ready for the next school year and plenty of projects around the house, that simply isn't fun.

So, what can I do, looking like crap, in the privacy of my own home, by myself, while trying to convince myself to work out??? Blog! haha. So there you have it. If anyone has a weekday off work and would like to do lunch or swimming or ANYTHING, let me know. My schedule is wide open : )

Family Time!

So Tuesday we had a family get together with my mom's side of the family. That really doesn't happen very often. We have a big family and I haven't seen most of them for over a year. It was good to see everyone. No one who lives out of town was there, so there were a lot of people missig, but it was still a lot of fun. We are a crazy - somewhat disfunctional bunch. haha.

This is the "kids" table. I don't think my grandma realizes we aren't "kids" anymore. ha ha.

Me and my beautiful sister. We had this get together to meet my uncles fiance. It was funny because she actually asked us who was older. I guess it's good if people can't tell there is a 12 year difference. Two different people that I hadn't met before said they thought I was 16. haha.

Tana, Megan, Me, Billy, Matt (these are the cousins I spent a lot of time with growing up. There are a lot of cousins in our family and I feel I don't know most of them as well as I know these ones)

Baby Talon!!

So Shantel had her baby today!! I am so excited for them. They will really be the best parents ever! She was going to be induced today and her water broke on its own ten minutes before she was going to get up to get ready anyway, so he came all natural. haha. It went really fast and before we knew it he was here. He was 6 pounds 14 ounces and 20 inches long. And - so Freaking cute!! I am so so so so happy for them. It was fun to be there when she had them and share the experience with them. I was the only one there that wasn't family and I felt a little awkward, but I loved being there to see Shantel and Nate and I feel honored to have been able to share that time with them.

Baby Talon - about 20 minutes old.

The happy family - Shantel looks soooo good for just giving birth!

Talon's first bath! So cute - he cried most the time and was shivering. It was so cute.

You guys have such a beautiful baby!! Congratulations! Love you guys!!

Hanging with Ashlie

So today I was able to hang with my friend Ashlie who is in town from St. George. We went to the mall and went shopping then went and had dinner. It was a lot of fun to see her. Although I have seen her quite often over the last few years, this is the first time we have hung out and gone and done something - just the two of us. It was really fun. She is such a great friend and a great mom! Love you Ash!!

I got to see Ember's baby today while I was over there to get Ash. Holy hell new born babies are small!! She is 5 lb 14 oz but she is soooo tiny! She is soooooooooooo cute! I want one. haha.

Picnic

So, on Saturday I got together with my friends from the U and we had a picnic. It was actually pretty cold outside and not June weather, but we had fun! I love hanging out with them and catching up!

Last Day of Work

As I was getting ready to write this I was thinking - Shantel and Ashlie both just had their last days of work also. Must be a theme with my friends right now : )

Today was my last day of work at Peruvian. It was a good day other than I felt like crap. I woke up this morning with the worst cramps in my tummy. It felt like someone stuck a knife in me and would twist it every couple of minutes and it seriously about took me down every time. I couldn't even stand. It was miserable. If it wasn't my last day and the kids' last day I think I may have called in sick. And I never do that! But I made it in and soon as Rita and Marti came in with gifts for me I broke down and started crying. I was emotional cuz I didn't feel well and it didn't help it was my last day. Marti got me a plant and some nice pens and Rita made me a really nice book where everyone who cares about me there wrote me a nice letter and they are all in a scrapbook. It was such a nice book that I really appreciate. Something that I will definitely hold on to. Thanks Rita!!

Then we went to lunch after school. I didn't know if I was really up to it, but I was feeling a lot better. Then I had to go sign out with my principal, Laura, and I broke down again! There was a lot of crying today. I am really going to miss all the wonderful people there!! Althought my new school will have wonderful people too, no one will match up to the people at Peruvian or the experiences I have had during my first 4 years of teaching. I have learned so much from all of them!! I love you all and will miss you! I will definitely keep in touch!!

Now I'm out for summer. The next school year starts on August 18th for me, since I am on D track. So I still have quite a long summer. We have a few professional development days in July and we can do our classrooms and move all our things in, so I will probably be working a lot in July. Until then, I have a lot of free time and want to catch up on some reading and some school projects. I would also love to do lots of lunches, if people are interested let me know : ) Oh - and Shantel is having her baby any day now so I plan on spending lots of time with her!

Another Busy Weekend

So it was another busy weekend this weekend. I went out to lunch on Saturday with my friend Shantel. She is ready to "pop" any day now! She is such a great friend and a great person. She will make a fabulous mom. I love you Shantel and you are the greatest friend I could ever ask for! I can't wait until she has baby Talon. She has decorated her nursery so cute. I didn't get a picture of us this weekend : (

Then I went over to my friend Jen's house. Her sister was throwing her a goodbye party because she is going to Logan for school this summer. It was fun to hang with her and other girls I work with. It is great to see them outside of work!

Judy, me and Jen

Me and Jen - I will miss you over summer!

Then I went and picked up Savannah. She started her first job on Saturday. She is working at a Snowie station at the U of U. She has a job - she is growing up so fast : ) I love her to death and loved spending all day Sunday with her. We did a lot of shopping at Gateway!!

Savannah and her friend Kelsie who works with her.

We went to my cousin Payton's birthday party. She is 7 and also growing up so fast. I bought her a jump rope and some other things but she really seemed to enjoy the jump rope. By the way, I am an expert "rope jumper" haha! I was telling them that I won the entire 5th grade at the jump-a-thon last year.

Here is Payton - so cute : )

Then Savannah and I went and saw Baby Mama. It was cute, but not as good as the preview made it look. It was a good movie with a good ending, but very predictable. Overall, it was a good weekend and very busy. A great weekend for Jer to be out of town! : )

My sister and me. So cute!! : )

Love everyone!!
