Happy Thanksgiving!!

Every year on Thanksgiving and Christmas we have 4 families to visit. This Thanksgiving, we went to Jer's aunts house in Salt Lake to My aunts house by the U to Jer's mom's house in Riverton and then to my grandma's house in Murray! We were all over the valley but it is so nice to see all of our family. We had a great day!

I am so thankful for Jeramie and my family, for this baby (still no names) and being able to start a family. I am also thankful for having so many great friends in my life. I love you all!!

I had Jer try to record the baby kicking. Of course we can take 50 videos and he doesn't kick hard. But we got a pretty good recording here. There is a kick right at the first and right at the very end. So precious!! I'm still trying to get a better video, but I never have my camera when he is kicking and if I get up and move he stops.

Nursery

So I have been working hard on the nursery this week. My mom came over and helped me do some of the painting and Jer helped alot with the things I can't do (like hang chair rail and caulk and tape the stripes). I finally got my dots put up yesterday and it is so cute!! Now I need to work on putting together his furniture so I can finish decorating the room! I hope to do that this weekend since it is a long weekend!

We painted the blue walls then started on the stripes.

Then we painted the brown under the strips Jer cut out these dots and I painted and hung them up. These are my favorite part!

Everyone needs to come see it in person when it is finished though, because it looks so much better in person then it does in the pictures! And I think it will look so good with the bedding we got him. It matches perfectly!!

Updates on My Life

So my life has been so busy and hectic. I thought I would do a quick update on everything.

Work - I am back at work and feel good being back. My kids are really starting to grow on me and we are having a lot of fun learning!

School - 3 more weeks until I am done done done, with this class, with this endorsement, with school...period! Enough said.

Jeramie - Thanks for everyone who has asked about Jeramie and his surgery. He is doing well and is probably going back to work tomorrow. He has his check up appointment on Tuesday so we will see how the doctor thinks he is doing then. His eye looks almost completely normal again. It has been very nice having him home this week and seeing him so much!

Baby - I have been feeling the baby so much! I love it! I think he is doing well and is so happy in there. I think he was awake the entire day yesterday because I would feel him for about a half hour then an hour later I would feel him again. It went on like that all day! It was so amazing! I have my next doctor appointment tomorrow and we get some blood results back that are suppose to help see if he has Down Syndrome. I want to see what the results are!

Family - Um...My family is a wreck and it sucks! We just moved my grandpa into a home and he is NOT thrilled to be there. It is so hard and stressful on everyone, but I think we agree it is what is best. My mom and John are going through a divorce and I hate to see them so unhappy. My aunt Kelly is having surgery on her neck (two bad disks...yikes!) tomorrow and I have been thinking a lot about her. So everything has been crazy!!

Jeramie News

So some of you know and some of you don't, so I thought I would share the most recent news with Jeramie.

Well, he has a broken bone in his face, right under his eye. Ouch. He got punched a couple weeks ago (yes, they were drunk) while at a friend's house. It was hell for me and I was pissed at him for getting that drunk (and lots of other stuff that was going on). His eye was completely swollen shut and disgusting! After the swelling went down a little you could see his entire eye filled with dark red blood. It was so yucky. So we took him to the ER at this point and they did a CT scan and found he has a broken bone under his eye and he has some tissues sagging down into his sinus cavity and there is air in there. So he is getting surgery to get a plastic piece put in to hold up his eye and all that saggy tissue.

His surgery is on Monday and he will have to take a week off for recovery, but the doc said it's a pretty easy surgery. He will have double vision and swelling for a month or two but then it should heal. Figures his surgery is on my first day back on track, at work. So he takes a week off soon as I go back to work.

Anyway, it has been two weeks full of doctor appointments and craziness. But everything will get taken care of soon and hopefully our lives will start to go back to normal.

Bedrooms

So I thought I'd post a picture of my new bedding. It is NOT the same color as it looks online but it still looks really good. I like it more now that I'm getting use to it.

I bought this cute frame for the baby's first picture. It came with lots of different sayings you could put at the bottom. We chose "love at first sight."

I also bought the nursery bedding for baby "no name yet". Here is the online picture. I'll post a picture when I get it all put together and on the crib that hasn't come in yet. It's cute. I'm going to do the paint differently and the valance is different and my crib and furniture is black. I thought it would look really good with black until it came. Now I'm not so sure. I hope it looks ok. His room is also way smaller than this room!

I drew up a sketch of how I want to paint the nursery. Keep in mind I am NO artist! haha and the colors don't look as good on here. I think it will be so cute! And I think we are leaning toward the name Bracken, so that's what I used for the name in the pic. The bottom half of the walls will be dark brown. Then there will be the one polka dot wall that is white and the yellow stripes are more of a tan color. Then I will put different sizes of blue and brown dots over the wall. Then the upper part of the rest of the walls will be a light blue.
