Some Updates

First, that poll just made me more confused about the name thing. ARG! haha.

Things are going so well around here for a change. I'm getting so excited for all my showers - thanks for everyone who is throwing me one and thanks for everyone who comes! I am getting so excited for this baby! I can't wait. I just want to get all the stuff I need so I feel prepared. Our baby class is on the 7th and 14th and I am so excited for that. I think I've had 12 Braxton Hicks contractions today! They are coming more often now, not that they mean anything though. At my last appointment, my doctor said he would bet his new house that I come 2-3 weeks early just because I am measuring big and will run out of room because of my body shape. I really hope I can make it til March 6th so I can finish my parent conferences and not have to worry about doing them over the phone while I'm off or having to do them in the evenings when I go back! That puts me at less than two weeks early though, so lets hope he bakes until then! I also put a new picture on the side of my blog. Don't think I've grown much the last few weeks.

I am off track for the next 3 weeks and am going to use the time to relax and hopefully get some baby stuff ready. I also want to finish reading all my baby books and a couple novels while I have time to read.

Jer is finally back at work (at least most the time) and making money again so that makes me feel better. He is such a sweetheart and things have been so good since I've been pregnant. We are like a whole different couple now and we are both so happy! He has also been sober for over 3 months now too! Go Jer!

I think we may have found a sitter that is just about 3 minutes from my house and she is licensed and has done it for 16 years. It will be about 420 dollars a month, and I think that is pretty good considering how close and being licensed. I've heard it is more than that, so I feel good about that. We get to meet her next week and we will decide for sure, but she was super nice on the phone.

Anyway, things feel really good for a change! Hope all is well with everyone! Love you all!

Baby Name Poll

Hi everyone. People keep asking. The answer is no, we do not have a name picked out yet! I wish we did because it's stressful but it is such a hard decision. We can't decide on a first name, let alone a middle name to go with any of our first name options! We are struggling. I am adding a poll with the top names, as of now, although this list changes frequently. I want to see what other people think...even though it doesn't really matter what you think (no offense) I am curious to see others' thoughts. So, take the poll!!

3D Ultrasound

So we had our 3D Ultrasound today! It was such a fun experience! He weighs 4 poiunds 2 ounces and has some very chubby cheeks. We got a better "boy" picture, which makes me feel much better because you can't really tell in the other one and I didn't want him to come out a girl after we buy everything in blue! It was so fun to see him, expecially the 3-D part and we got a DVD too.

The bad part is that he had his hands up by his face and one of his feet. Awkward, poor guy. Also, he had his face smashed into the placenta for the first half the time we were there and the imbilical cord was in front of his face, so the pictures aren't great, but they got a little better after she poked at him for a while. In the pictures the placenta is on the right. Yuk. Also, our scanner isn't working so I took a picture of the pictures, but flash and doesn't look great. So, they really aren't as good.

He was moving everywhere and she couldn't get him to hold still. She said he was 4 pounds 2 ounces and all my books say by the end of the week he should be 3 1/2 pounds, so I think he is on the big side. He also has pretty chubby cheeks! He was making all sorts of funny faces. He kept opening and closing his eyes and sticking out his tongue. Priceless!! So if anyone wants to see the DVD, you can come watch it, even though it probably isn't nearly as exciting for you as it is for me! : )

HaPPy NeW YeaR!!

Happy 2009! I hope this year brings everyone health and happiness!

For me, 2008 was pretty much the worst year of my life, except for this baby, which is the biggest blessing and if it wasn't for him, I don't know how I would have made it! So, I am hoping 2009 will be so much better! My 2009 wishes are for baby and me to be healthy after he arrives, for him to be a happy baby, for Jer and I to continue to be so happy together - things have been better than they ever have between us before.

My new year's resolution (which I NEVER make resolutions) is to stop saying the F-word. I can't help it, I have gotten into this horrible pattern of just saying it all the time. When I drop something on the floor or if I can't sleep or ANYTHING, even if it's not really bad. The problem is I don't even think about it until after I say it, it's become so natural. So I'm going to start a swear jar and put all the money I collect into the babies bank account when he is born. A dollar an F word.

Finally, we DESPERATELY need some help with a baby name. We have brainstormed and discussed the issue for hours and hours. We have looked online for hours and both of us have read 2 baby name books and nothing is really sticking. Anyone have any ideas you want to share?? It's looking like our newest possibility is Jaxon. Please help!! : )
